Say goodbye to production chaos: ProLine’s new jobs feature transforms multi-trade management.
Managing roofing production has never been easy. If your company handles multiple trades—roofing, siding, gutters, windows—you’ve probably felt the frustration of keeping everything organized. Customers expect a seamless, all-in-one experience, but behind the scenes, production teams juggle different subcontractors, materials, and job schedules.
That’s why we built ProLine CRM’s new Jobs Feature. Unlike traditional CRM job features, Jobs in ProLine exist within projects, allowing you to track each trade separately while keeping everything unified under a single project. Roofing, siding, and gutters all have their own workflows, yet the customer still sees one quote, one contract, and one project timeline.
This is the first step in making ProLine the most powerful production management tool for roofers. We’re tackling the biggest pain points head-on—so you can ditch the workarounds and finally run production the way it should be.

Introducing ProLine CRM’s New Jobs Feature
Instead of forcing contractors to choose between a cluttered pipeline and a whiteboard full of sticky notes, ProLine introduces Jobs, a second layer beneath projects that allows independent tracking of each trade while keeping everything under one roof.
Think of Jobs as mini-projects inside a larger project. Instead of cramming roofing, siding, and gutters into a single timeline, each trade gets its own workflow. Roofing can be scheduled while siding is still waiting on materials. Gutters can be installed while windows are back-ordered. Everything stays organized, and production teams no longer have to guess what’s next.
With Jobs, you can:
- Track each trade separately. Roofing, gutters, siding—each gets its own job inside the main project.
- Assign custom workflows. Different trades move through different stages, eliminating confusion over scheduling and materials.
- Keep the customer experience seamless. The homeowner still sees a single project, a single contract, and one portal for updates.
The result? No more workarounds. No more messy pipelines. Just a clean, structured way to manage multi-trade projects—without sacrificing visibility or control.
Key Features of Jobs
ProLine’s Jobs feature isn’t just a band-aid for managing multiple trades—it’s a complete system built to streamline production from start to finish. Here’s how it works:
1. Trade-Specific Job Tracking
Each trade within a project—roofing, siding, gutters—has its own job with its own workflow. No more guessing when materials are ordered or which trade is scheduled next. You can now assign clear job stages like:
- Materials Ordered
- Job Scheduled
- Work in Progress
- Job Completed
This means every trade moves through its own process without disrupting the entire project timeline.
2. Automated Job Creation
Tired of manually creating jobs for every trade? ProLine automatically generates jobs based on the services in your quote. Once a quote is signed, Jobs are created instantly—saving time and reducing human error.
3. Job-Specific Pipelines
Production teams can now see jobs in a structured pipeline instead of lumping everything into one messy project view. Instead of one overloaded pipeline trying to track roofing, siding, and gutters together, each trade gets its own streamlined workflow.
4. Integration with Quotes & Orders
Jobs don’t live in isolation. They’re fully integrated with your quotes and orders. When you assign services in a quote, ProLine automatically maps them to jobs—ensuring materials and scheduling stay in sync. In the future, orders will be linked to jobs, making tracking even easier.
5. Future Enhancements: Even More Production Power
We’re just getting started. In the next 30-60 days, we’re rolling out:
- Vendor Management: Assign specific subcontractors to jobs and track their progress.
- Order Linking: Orders will be created within jobs, ensuring materials are tracked per trade.
- Advanced Automations: Automate homeowner notifications, job scheduling, and more based on job status.
With Jobs, ProLine is transforming production chaos into an organized, automated machine. And this is just the beginning.
How to Set Up & Use Jobs
Getting started with Jobs in ProLine is simple. Once configured, your production team will have a clear, organized system for tracking every trade within a project—without extra workarounds. Follow this step-by-step guide to enable and optimize Jobs in your workflow.
Step 1: Enable Jobs for Your Services
Before you can start using Jobs, you need to activate them for the trades (or services) you offer.
- Go to Company Settings > Projects > Services.
- Select a service (e.g., Roof Replacement, Gutters, Siding).
- Toggle “Automatically Create Jobs” to YES.
- Define job stages for each service (e.g., “Materials Ordered,” “Job Scheduled,” “Job Completed”).
- Save your settings.
Now, when a project includes that service, a job will be automatically created and assigned to the correct workflow.
Step 2: Assign Services in Quotes
To fully integrate Jobs with your workflow, services must be mapped in your quotes.
- Create or open a quote.
- Go to the “Detailed Pricing” section.
- Assign a service (e.g., Roofing, Gutters) to each line item.
- Ensure “Automatically Create Jobs” is enabled for that service in settings.
- Send and sign the quote.
Once the customer signs, ProLine automatically generates jobs based on the selected services—saving time and eliminating manual setup.
Step 3: Track Jobs & Update Stages
Now that Jobs are created, your production team can track progress with job-specific workflows.
- Go to a project and navigate to the Jobs tab.
- View all trade-specific jobs created within that project.
- Update job stages as work progresses (e.g., “Materials Ordered” → “Job Scheduled” → “Work in Progress”).
- Each trade has its own workflow, meaning roofing, gutters, and siding can move at their own pace.
Step 4: Best Practices for Maximizing Efficiency
- Keep workflows simple. Don’t overcomplicate job stages—stick to the key milestones for each trade.
- Use automatic job creation. Let ProLine generate jobs from quotes to reduce manual input.
- Ensure teams update job statuses. Make it a habit to track job progress so no trade gets forgotten.
- Prepare for future automation. Jobs will soon integrate with orders, vendors, and automated notifications—so start optimizing your workflows now.
With Jobs, production teams no longer have to juggle trades manually. Everything is structured, clear, and ready to scale.
What’s Next? More Production Power in ProLine
Jobs is just the beginning. We’re not stopping until ProLine is the most powerful production management tool for roofers.
For years, ProLine has dominated sales and communication, but we knew production needed a major overhaul. The launch of Jobs solves the biggest multi-trade headaches, but we’re already working on the next evolution of production management. Here’s what’s coming next:
1. A Full Job Board for Easier Tracking
Right now, Jobs live within projects—but soon, they’ll also have their own dedicated Job Board.
- View all active Jobs across all projects.
- Organize Jobs by trade (Roofing, Gutters, Siding, etc.).
- Track every trade’s progress at a glance—no more digging through projects to see what’s scheduled.
2. Deeper Order & Vendor Integrations
Orders will soon be tied directly to Jobs, making it easier to track materials by trade. Instead of placing one massive order for a project, production teams will:
- Order materials within a specific job (e.g., roofing materials vs. gutter materials).
- Assign vendors to Jobs, keeping everything organized by trade.
- Track which orders are fulfilled for each stage of production.
3. Advanced Automations for Production
We’re expanding ProLine’s automation engine to include Jobs. That means you’ll soon be able to:
- Trigger automatic homeowner updates when a Job moves to “Scheduled.”
- Send vendor notifications when materials are ordered.
- Create follow-up tasks when a Job hits a specific milestone.
The Goal: The Best Production System in Roofing
ProLine is on track to completely revolutionize production management in the roofing space. We’ll roll out these updates, ensuring ProLine is not just the best CRM for sales but the best platform for managing production, period.
If you’re tired of messy workflows and disorganized production, Jobs is the solution. And it’s only getting better.
